The Evangelical-Reformed Church of Greetsiel is located in the East Frisian port town of Greetsiel, in the Krummhörn.
The Greetsiel Church was built in two phases between 1380 and 1410 as a private church for the chieftain Haro Edzardsna in the Gothic style. In 1401, long before its final completion, the church was confirmed by Pope Boniface IX. The brick hall church, dedicated to Saint Mary, belonged to the Diocese of Münster until the Reformation. An extension was made under the rule of Count Edzard II. The brick bell tower stands, as is common with many East Frisian churches, separate from the main church building. When visiting the Greetsiel Church, the strong lateral inclinations of the church walls are striking.
