Vereinigte Blumendelle Mine

The Vereinigte Blumendelle mine is a former coal mine in Mülheim-Heißen. The mine was also known as Zeche Blumendelle and Zeche Doctorsbank. It was established in the 18th century.
Even before the year 1750, the mining area was granted. In 1750, a pit was excavated through the mining area of Zeche Cleflappen. After 1750, the mine was probably taken out of operation, as it was put back into operation in 1796. In 1813, a shaft was sunk. This year also provides the only known employment figures for the mine, which employed six miners. The following year, the mine was laid out in sections. In 1816, mining operations were conducted. In 1817, only alignment work was carried out, after which the mine was not mentioned in the records for several years. In December 1832, a shaft was sunk to a depth of 15 Lachters, and mining began thereafter. After 1832, the mine was no longer mentioned in the records. In 1841, the Vereinigte Blumendelle mine consolidated with the Tutenbank, Rosendelle, and Kämpgeswerk mines to form the Vereinigte Rosen- und Blumendelle mine.
