The Hollywood Tour was a water-themed ride in the "Fantasy" area of the Brühl amusement park Phantasialand. The ride opened with the start of the season on April 1, 1990. On the evening of Friday, March 30, 1990, an opening ceremony was held with invited guests. The first ride of the evening took place at 6:00 PM. Following that, a premiere gala took place in the adjacent restaurant Petit Paris. The star guest of the evening was Marlène Charell accompanied by the French show orchestra André Cyriel. The ride showcased "scenes from famous film classics" to the guests. The boat ride system was built by Intamin AG Switzerland, while the interior furnishings and figures were supplied by the Hofmann company. The Hollywood Tour shared the building with the indoor roller coaster "Crazy Bats," which is housed in the upper part, and the neighboring "Fantissima" area.
