Alt St. Katharina is a Roman Catholic church in Cologne-Niehl, North Rhine-Westphalia. It is located eastward directly on the banks of the Rhine beyond the Niehler Dam.
Niehl was first mentioned in 927 in an archbishopric donation to the Cologne Ursulastift, and again in 1080 in another donation to the Kunibertsstift. In the property ownership of the Kunibertstift, a chapel belonging to the abbey was referred to as a branch of the abbey in 1236. In 1260, the main altar of the chapel was consecrated to St. Catherine by the auxiliary bishop Heinrich I of Montfort. It served as the parish church for the area from Nippes to Niehl.
