The Garather Mühlenbach is a stream about 10 kilometres long. It touches the North Rhine-Westphalian cities of Solingen, Hilden, and Düsseldorf.
The Garather Mühlenbach rises in two springs in a wooded area between Bauermannsheide, the Solingen Bird and Animal Park and the former stadium on Hermann-Löns-Weg in the west of the Solingen district of Ohligs. It is also called the Kalversterzer Bach on its upper reaches in Solingen city area and flows there 20 meters below a high-voltage line in a pipe. West of Brabant, the stream forms the natural city boundary between Solingen and Hilden.
