Wiesenburg station in the southwestern part of the state of Brandenburg was put into operation in 1879 and was the separation station for two main lines from 1923 to 2004. The station has a station building from the station's opening period, which has been largely preserved in its original state. The station building is a listed building with some outbuildings and has been owned since 2011 by a local association, which operates a café and other facilities for public use there.
The station is located in the municipality of Wiesenburg/Mark in the district of Potsdam-Mittelmark, about halfway between the two, each about 2.5 kilometers away
Wiesenburg to the north-east and Jeserig to the south, a few kilometres from the border with Saxony-Anhalt. At the station, federal road 107 crosses the tracks. Around the station are the extensive wooded areas of the Brandtsheide, north of which begins the park of Wiesenburg Castle. Around the train station, especially along the main road, there are a few properties that form the village of Wiesenburg Bahnhof. While the houses on the main road belonged to Wiesenburg, the station itself was on Jeserig's territory. In 2001, the village and the railway station were attached to the municipality of Wiesenburg/Mark. In 2018, it was decided to move the station from the Jeserig district to the Wiesenburg district.
