Densow is a district of the independent city of Templin in the Uckermark district. The settlement, founded in the Middle Ages, was already abandoned in the second half of the 14th century. Around 1700, a tar furnace was established on the territory, followed in 1736 by an official farm and in 1749 by a colony, from which today's village of Densow developed. Until 2003, Densow was an independent municipality. Today, Densow also includes the districts of Annenwalde, Alt Placht, and Neu Placht, as well as the residential area Vorwerk Annenwalde. In 2013, the district had 270 inhabitants.
Densow is located in the northern part of the municipality area of the city of Templin. It borders to the north with the city of Lychen, to the northeast with Gandenitz, a district of Templin, to the east with the city of Templin, and to the south with Röddelin and Beutel, both of which are districts of Templin.
