Nature reserve Machnower See

The nature reserve Machnower See, also called the nature reserve Groß Machnower See, is a small nature reserve located entirely within the district of Groß Machnow. It covers 35 hectares and primarily includes the Machnower See with a water surface area of around 8 hectares. The shores of Machnower See are inaccessible. The marsh forest surrounding the lake is only partially accessible in summer and is occasionally flooded during high water levels. The nature reserve was established in 1986.
The nature reserve is situated in the southwest of the district of Groß Machnow. It extends from the dam through the marsh forest of Machnower See near Pramsdorf along the edge of the forest to the southeastern corner of the development in Rangsdorf. The border continues along the eastern development boundary of Rangsdorf northwards to the path Wiesengrund. On the other side of the path, the nature reserve Zülowgrabenniederung begins. From there, moving away from Wiesengrund, the border runs straight eastward along the marsh forest, further following the marsh forest down south and southwest, again reaching the Pramsdorfer Weg.
