Annahütte is a part of the municipality of Schipkau in Brandenburg. The local mayor is Horst Pawlik.
The first documented mention of the place dates back to 1418 as Serchin, meaning a place that was created by slash-and-burn agriculture.
The development of the farming village progressed only slowly. In 1856, a glassworks was opened. In 1870, lignite was mined in the area. From 1872, a noticeable upswing was felt in the village. The population increased from 250 to about 3500 by 1912. During this time, the place also received its school, a post office, a swimming pool, and a connection to the railway network. The glassworks was expanded into a small industrial complex. In the second half of the 19th century, the German language displaced the Lower Sorbian language.
