The war memorial in Trotha is a war memorial located in the memorial square in the Trotha district of Halle. The square is named after the memorial.
The structure, made of red sandstone, consists of an obelisk on a cube-shaped base. It commemorates the citizens of Trotha who lost their lives in the German War of 1866 and the Franco-German War of 1870/71. A total of 91 citizens from the then still independent Trotha participated in the two wars. Adrian Dietrich Lothar von Trotha was involved in both wars. This may be one reason why such a memorial was erected in Trotha. The construction was initiated by the War Association of Trotha.
