Törten, dialectally Tärtn, is a district of Dessau-Roßlau, a district-free city in the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt. It is located on the Mulde River in the southeast of Dessau between the old federal highway 184 to the west and the federal motorway 9 to the east.
Törten is primarily known for the housing development there. It was built by Walter Gropius based on the ideals of the Bauhaus between 1926 and 1928. The development aimed to create inexpensive small row houses for workers. A total of 314 houses were built, varying in size between 57 and 75 square meters. Carl Fieger, an architectural draftsman at the Bauhaus, also built his own house there.
