Hirschfelde is a village in the southeast of Saxony in the district of Görlitz, on the border with the Polish Voivodeship of Lower Silesia. The formerly independent municipality was incorporated into the city of Zittau in 2007.
The place was first mentioned in a document in 1310. However, it was established much earlier, as the church was consecrated as early as 1299, and at that time, a Johanniter commandery of Hirschfelde is mentioned. Over the centuries of its existence, Hirschfelde has had its status changed several times regarding constitutional relationships. Hirschfelde included the village of Lehde, located at the mouth of the Küpper on the eastern bank of the Neisse. In 1914, Scharre was incorporated. This place is also located east of the Neisse. Both localities came under Polish administration after World War II according to the Potsdam Agreement and today form part of the village of Turoszów, which is a part of the municipality of Bogatynia.
