The Ettlinger Tor Karlsruhe is a shopping center opened in 2005 by the Hamburg-based ECE Group in the city center of Karlsruhe.
It is considered one of the largest inner-city shopping centers in southern Germany and employs 1,000 people. Covering a total sales area of 33,000 square meters, it houses about 130 stores, and there are also dining establishments occupying an area of 4,000 square meters. The center consists of a passageway covered by a glass vault over 130 meters long, with stores arranged on both sides across three floors. This passage diagonally crosses the built-up city block from Ettlinger-Tor-Platz to Friedrichsplatz.
