The Brockenstraße, also called Brockenchaussee, in the Harz Mountains is part of the district road 1356 leading from Schierke, a district of Wernigerode, to the Brocken, the highest mountain in northern Germany. It runs in the Wernigerode urban area in the Saxony-Anhalt district of Harz.
The road is about 10.8 km long and has a difference in altitude of about 525 m from its beginning in the district of Schierke at the junction of the Ottoweg road from the merging streets Hagenstraße and Brockenstraße to the summit region of the Brocken. Measured from the junction of Landesstraße 99, which is a little higher and south-east of the village, from the roads K 1356 and L 100, which merge there, the entire Bergstraße is about 12.5 km long and has a difference in altitude of about 512 m from there. It ends near the summit.
