The Lauscha station is a passenger station of station category 7 in Lauscha on the railway line Coburg–Ernstthal am Rennsteig. It is a terminus and a switchback station.
Lauscha station is located at an elevation of 611 m above sea level in the town of Lauscha in the Thuringian Slate Mountains. It is situated on the L 1145, which is called Bahnhofstraße in this section, in the Lauschatal valley between the Großen Tierberg with Schnitzerskopf to the east and the Teufelsholz to the west, south of the town center. The reception building is located at track kilometer 38.51. The entrance signal from Steinach is at kilometer 37.9 and the one from Oberlauscha is at kilometer 39.6. The standard gauge branch line leading from Coburg via Sonneberg to Lauscha has the line number 5121, and from Lauscha to Ernstthal am Rennsteig the line number is 6689; timetable line number 564.
