Eduard Kahl Bath

The Eduard-Kahl-Bad is an indoor swimming pool in Metzingen, operated by the Metzingen utility company. The building was designed by the architectural firm Dolmetsch + Haug between 1972 and 1974 and was awarded the Ruhrgas Architecture Prize in 1975.

The Metzingen indoor pool is centrally located at Konrad-Adenauer-Platz, near the Old Gymnasium, the Sieben-Keltern School, and the town hall. The building complex consists of an indoor pool and a sports hall; due to the adjacent buildings and traffic management, it was decided not to allocate an outdoor area.
The building is accessible for people with disabilities, ensuring that access to the changing rooms, showers, and the swimming hall poses no problem for wheelchair users, and it features two pools. The larger one is referred to as the swimming pool, while the smaller one is designated as the teaching pool.
