With the construction of the new access road, the path has led since 1830 from Mühlenstraße past the baroque mill with a hipped roof, which belongs to the castle estate and was powered by the waters of the Werse.
Here, grain was ground with the help of a waterwheel. Next to Baron von Landsberg's water mill, there was a horse mill that could keep one grinding stone in operation with little water supply. The mill's drive was shut down in 1882, the waterwheel and wooden superstructure were removed, and replaced by a steam mill. The building from 1766 was renewed in baroque forms, which was first erected in 1595. Heavily damaged by the war in 1944 and destroyed by a fire in 1949, it was rebuilt for residential purposes in 1958. On the bridge, directly north of the mill, there is a statue of St. Nepomuk made of sandstone on the side facing the castle complex.
