The Bastion Hessen detachiert is a former bastion of the fortress of Magdeburg in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt. The remaining parts of the bastion are listed as historical monuments.
It is located on the east side of Hohepfortestraße in the southern part of the Alte Neustadt district of Magdeburg. The site of the bastion now belongs to the grounds of the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. The remaining remains are located underground, below a green area and the road, immediately west of University Sports Hall 3. This is also where the entrance to the preserved complex is located.
