Stedtlingen is a village with 507 inhabitants in the Thuringian Rhön and is part of the municipality of Rhönblick in the district of Schmalkalden-Meiningen.
The village is located south of the Herpf valley in the Thuringian Rhön, about 2.5 to 3 kilometers from the border of Bavaria; at an altitude of about 385 m above sea level on the southern slope of the 538 m high Kirschberg. South and west of the village is the spring area of the Sülze, as well as the nature reserve Bischofswaldung with Stedtlinger Moor.
