Ehlen

Ehlen is a district of the municipality of Habichtswald in the Landkreis Kassel in Northern Hesse. It has 2739 inhabitants.
Ehlen is located in the Habichtswald Nature Park about 13.5 kilometers west of the Kassel city center, between the core town of Zierenberg in the north-northwest, the Habichtswald district of Dörnberg in the northeast, Breitenbach in the south, Martinhagen in the south-southwest, and Burghasungen in the west. To the northeast of the village, which is situated at an elevation of about 320 to 375 m above sea level, rises the Hohe Dörnberg, to the southeast the Essigberg, to the west the Burghasunger Berg, and to the northwest the Große Bärenberg. Directly west of Ehlen, the Warme river flows in a south-north direction. The federal road 251 runs between Burghasungen and Dörnberg, crossing the state road 3220 in the village.
