Bruchmühlen is a village in the west of the municipality of Rödinghausen, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, with a population of 3,378.
Bruchmühlen actually consists of a part in the Land of North Rhine-Westphalia, which is the subject of this article, and a part, which is located in the municipality of Melle in the Land of Lower Saxony. The village of Bruchmühlen itself originally belonged to the municipality of Rödinghausen in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The station is located within the boundaries of the village of Melle, which was newly built in 1969 and is also called Bruchmühlen, southwest of exit 26 of the A30 motorway. In the Meller area there is also a large industrial area with, among other things, a corrugated cardboard factory. The station is located just 100 metres from the border of North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony on Meller territory in the Siedlung Steinbrink. On the border of Westkilver and Ostkilver there is a kitchen factory, Ballerina.
