The Eckwarderhörne heavy anti-aircraft battery was a bunkered position of the naval anti-aircraft gun in the southwest of Butjadingen during World War II.
The coastal commander of the German Bight was responsible for coastal defence. The battery belonged to the Wilhelmshaven sector as part of the II Marine Flak Brigade. The anti-aircraft battery belonged to the Marine Flak Division 272, whose Flak Subgroup Command East was located in Tossens.
