Weisweiler is a town in the Aachen metropolitan district, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Weisweiler has been part of the town of Eschweiler since 1972. Weisweiler is located in the area where lignite is mined. The place is dominated by the Kraftwerk Weisweiler power plant. This is where the German military cemetery in Weisweiler is located.
