Breyell is a borough of Nettetal, Germany. Before 1970, the town was an independent municipality together with Schaag. The ancient Celtic settlement is first mentioned in writing in the 12th century.
Breyell was an important trading town in the Middle Ages, belonging to the Duchy of Gulik. The importance of the place was due to the favorable location of the place in relation to Cologne - 's-Hertogenbosch, Aachen - Nijmegen.
