The tour starts and finishes in Golzow. Here you can visit the Filmmuseum Potsdam, which evokes memories of the long-running documentary series “The Children of Golzow”. The route passes through Genschmar heading towards the municipality of Sophienthal, where many blue bicycles can be discovered along the way. Cycling along the Oder Dike, the route takes you to the town of Groß Neuendorf. Here there is an old harbour with a gallery and two museums. The route to Zollbrücke continues on the Oder Dike. Now you can pick up speed because part of the route is straight.
The Theater am Rand theatre is located in Zollbrücke. It was established by the two artists Thomas Rühmann and Tobias Morgenstern and hosts performances every weekend.
The return trip takes you on a route inland, passing through the village of Altreetz to the oldest colonist village of Neulietzegöricke. Many of the old half-timbered houses have been lovingly reconstructed in this idyllic village.
In Neubarnim, cyclists will pass by many half-timbered houses typical of the region and then continue along a two-kilometre long unbroken avenue of linden trees heading towards Letschin. The Bockwindmühle Wilhelmsaue post mill, the earliest type of European windmill, can be seen before you reach Letschin. There is much to discover in Letschin itself, such as the Letschiner Heimatstube local history parlour, Fontane Park, a monument of “Old Fritz”, the Schinkelturm tower and a railway museum. The route passes through Zechin before reaching the starting point and therefore the end of the tour. In the municipality you will find the Königs-Mühle mill, an open-air pool and the village museum.
