KR3 Durchs Kraichgauer Bauernland

The tour through the Kraichgau farmland takes you along fertile fields and orchards to picturesque little hamlets.

Whether at the beginning or end of your tour, you should take some time in Eppingen to admire the half-timbered architecture in the old town. A half-timbered educational trail introduces you to the different architectural styles, which you can then discover in all their glory on a historic stroll through the town. The Elsenztal cycle path takes you almost flat past the Richen Farmers' Museum to Ittlingen. Here you leave the Elsenz and enter the Ittlingen valley - the route now climbs slightly via an imperial knight's estate in Bockschaft to Kirchardt. The section of forest between Berwangen and Gemmingen requires a little concentration. On unpaved paths, you "experience" the Kraichgau hills in small ups and downs. From Gemmingen, take the Kraichgau-Hohenlohe trail and the Elsenztal cycle path back to the starting point.
