Pompous orchards accompany us on the paths through the Upper Aachtal valley along the hiking trail. The views of the open landscape, the Salem Valley and up to Heiligenberg Castle are impressive.A particular highlight is the Maria im Stein pilgrimage chapel. Today's open chapel was built in 1948. The main pilgrimage time is in May, but masses and devotions are held well into the fall.Special features: Maria Himmelfahrt Lippertsreute parish church, St. Martin's church and vineyard chapel in Frickingen, Lake Constance Fruit Museum in Frickingen and Tüfftlerwerkstattmuseum in Altheim, Maria im Stein pilgrimage site, magnificent orchards.
