This varied circular hike provides an impression of the landscape diversity of the Southern Harz region - a hidden gem for all hiking enthusiasts, colorful and exciting in every season.

In spring/summer, the endless variety of blossoms of the wild rose, the fresh green of meadows and forests, and the blooming fruit trees are enticing. Primarily on naturally grown ground, the tour initially leads through meadows and mixed forests past the massive spoil heap Hohen Linde, a prominent monument of copper mining in Sangerhausen.
Shortly after, the hiker emerges from the semi-darkness of the forest onto the open heights above the Helmstal valley.

Along the way, extensive information panels provide insights into the topic of roses.

The Mountain and Rose Festival in June/July is worth a visit. Generally, a visit to the Europa-Rosarium with over 8,500 different rose varieties is worthwhile.
