With a bike tour from Quedlingburg to Lutherstadt Wittenberg, you can connect a total of five out of the seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Saxony-Anhalt! Starting from the UNESCO World Heritage town of Quedlinburg, the Aller-Harz cycle path leads first to the neighboring Harz town of Bad Suderode, intersecting here with the EuroVelo route, which runs from West to East and right through the World Heritage Region of Anhalt-Dessau-Wittenberg. Here, the other four UNESCO World Heritage Sites are clustered within a radius of 35 km. In total, you will cycle a distance of about 190 km across the country.
In addition to the many cultural highlights along the route, nature lovers will also get their moneys worth. Starting with the Harz National Park, the EuroVelo route leads through the Harz Lake District, the Salzlandkreis region shaped by its eponymous natural resource, further through the Lower Saale Valley Nature Park, to the first UNESCO highlight - the Dessau-Wörlitz Garden Realm. Together with the UNESCO Middle Elbe Biosphere Reserve between Dessau and Wittenberg, you will embark on a discovery tour through the impressive variety of natural treasures in Saxony-Anhalt.
