Your tour starts at the Canoe Club Bad Dürrenberg with a lock. Beginners launch their boat just below the lock. When passing under the subsequent railway bridge, keep to the middle of the river. On the following stretch, the Saale River flows through the flat land in large bends. The residential buildings of the adjacent towns often extend all the way to the river. You can take a break at the ferry house in Leuna. Alternatively, visit the forest pool in Leuna. With just over 10 kilometers for a day trip to Merseburg, there is plenty of time. Alternatively, plan more time for a visit to the sights in Merseburg. For many centuries, the city was one of the most important places in the empire. The most significant structure is the cathedral on the Romanesque Road with rich furnishings. Also worth seeing are Merseburg Castle and the castle garden.

km 0.4 LU - public exit and entrance below the lock

km 0.6 LU - public boat dock of the city of Bad Dürrenberg. Short walk from here to the Borlach Museum and to the city center.

km 6.6 LU - Rest area Leuna at the ferry house (no service)

km 8.3 LU - public entry and exit Forest Pool Leuna, 100-meter slide, diving tower, kiosk

km 10 LU - MC Saale Merseburg e.V., slipway

km 10.6 LU - Entry and exit Saalewanderer 1885 e.V., tent pitches, barbecue area
