This short walk leads to the memorial site of the 2002 plane crash "The Torn Pearl Necklace"
The short circular tour starts in Überlingen at the P+R parking lot and first leads up to Aufkirch. Here you have one of the most beautiful views of Überlingen and Lake Constance.
The route continues to Brachenreuthe, where numerous large silver balls in the forest are supposed to represent a broken pearl necklace. The work of art entitled "Memento mori - In the midst of life, we are surrounded by death" is a memorial to the air crash on July 1, 2002, in which a Bashkir Tupolev crashed on Lake Constance and 71 people were killed.
The trail then leads through a small forest to the Lugenhof farm, which is a good place to stop for a break. From there, the route continues through the Feigental valley
back to the P-R parking lot.
