From Old Orchards to 1,000 Oak Trees

Then you continue downhill in the direction of Plessa. Taking a break at the idyllically situated Elstermühle mill in Plessa will be particularly worth your while. Then you continue along partially paved paths along the Schwarze Elster. Behind the village Schraden, the path of the 1,000 oak trees begins, which continues all the way to Großkmehlen. Only a few steps from the Lindenau castle grounds, you will find some truly unspoilt countryside - a little paradise. Not well-trodden enough, a little bit weedy in places - but that is exactly what makes the path of the 1,000 oak trees a real insider tip. To the left of the path, the Neue Pulsnitz flows leisurely and with little current, behind it there is a field with lush flora along the course of the river.
