"Ysenburger Heckenspur" Spessartspur

The Spessart trail starts at the Jahnstraße parking lot in the municipality of Hasselroth. From there, the trail leads into the forest to the "burnt fir trees". The trail leads steadily uphill and offers ever-changing forest scenery. Here, the trail meets the Oberrodenbacher Spessart trail and follows the path via the "Sauloch" up to the "Edelweißhütte" near Gondsroth. From there, the trail leads downhill again towards Gondsroth with varied views. A beautiful forest edge path leads back to the starting point in Jahnstraße.

Note: The signposting for the "Neuenhaßlauer Ysenburg" Spessart trail is supplemented by a red dot to prevent confusion with the Spessart trail from Oberrodenbach.

Tip:

The tour is particularly worthwhile in spring during apple blossom and late summer due to the many littering orchards.

The Edelweißhütte near Gondsroth is open from spring to late fall, on Sundays and public holidays from 10:30-18:00. Seats on the covered terrace with a beautiful view of the Kinzig valley invite you to linger. During the opening hours mentioned, food and drink are also provided.
