Cycling tour "sportiv sportiv"

Start at Altenberg railroad station. Take the cycle path along the B170 towards Dresden to the sports facility complex. Once there, turn left onto the Riesengrundweg and follow it to Hirschsprung. On Talstraße, keep left again and after a short time you will reach the luge and bobsleigh track. The route now climbs steeply via the entrance to the finish building. At "Kurve 14", change sides of the track and stay on this side until you reach the start area. Descend on the other side to the middle exit "Kurve 9". Leave the area and follow Bornweg to the road junction. Turn left here onto Bauweg and follow it until you turn left onto "Staubfreien Weg". At the next fork in the road, follow Bornweg in the direction of Altenberg. Cross the B170 and follow the road to Schellerhau. After 200 m you will reach the waterworks. Turn left here into Viehtriftweg. On the left is the site of the former Biahtlonarena, where the World Championships were held in 1967. Today it is a nature reserve. Ride to the top of the Galgenteich dam and keep right. At the end of the road, turn left onto Schneise 31 and then right onto the I-wing. Keep left at the next junction. Continue along Schneise 30 for approx. 700 m and then turn right to reach the Biathlon Sparkassen-Arena Altenberg. You will then return to Altenberg via the K-wing, Moorweg and Alter Zaunhäuser Weg.
