Guided canoe tours in the Lower Oder Valley National Park

The centerpiece of the Lower Oder Valley National Park is the floodplain between the Stromoder and the Hohensaaten-Friedrichsthaler waterway, also known as polders. This embanked area is crisscrossed by numerous old branches of the Oder River, which provide unique impressions during a canoe tour.On your tour, you will be accompanied by a canoe guide trained by the national park, who will safely lead you through the water maze. Knowledgeable and exciting, he will explain to you the special features of the only floodplain national park in Germany. With calm behavior and a silent paddle stroke, beavers, kingfishers, grebes, sea eagles, herons, and even black and river terns can be observed hunting for food.Both tours (7.2 km and 11 km) start at the water sports center of the Water Sports Club PCK Schwedt e. V. and lead over the Fittesee, the Meglitze, the Old Oder, and back to the water sports center via the canal. Both tours have a rest stop.The duration of the 7.2 km tour is approximately 4 - 5 hours, and the 11 km tour lasts about 6 - 7 hours (the indicated hours for the duration of the canoe tour are guidelines, it may take longer).This canoe tour is available between July 15th and November 14th.
