Hiking Through Schorfheide to the Silkebuche Monument

Circular trail to the Silkebuche monument - Hike through Eichheide with the option of extending it to Lake Pinnowseen. The hike finishes at the majestic Silkebuche beech tree, which is about 300 years old with a trunk circumference of 6.5 metres, making it the biggest beech tree in Brandenburg.

Current news Silkebuche: In the last week of August 2021 the tree suddenly broke apart. Hiking to the Silkebuche is still possible. The trees area is blocked for your safety.
