Emperor's Trail Joachimsthal

Here, you first stroll through the idyllic little town of Joachimsthal to the historic Kaiserbahnhof Station. On the trail of the last German Emperor, you can hike along the magnificent Lake Werbellinsee at your leisure. Depending on the water level, you then have the opportunity to marvel at the little waterfall at Griebnitzsee Lake, though usually only in spring.

How to get there: NEB RB 63 from Eberswalde and Templin, RE 3 and RB 24 from Berlin, car via the A 11 motorway

Route description: The tour begins at Schorfheide-Info in Joachimsthal or at Kaiserbahnhof Station and goes downhill to Lake Werbellinsee. Stelae along the wayside with lots of interesting information tell the history of development at Lake Werbellinsee.
