Albsteig Schwarzwald Etappe 3 Tour West: Häusern - St. Blasien - Bernau - Feldberg

Windberg waterfall, St. Blasius Cathedral, hiking trails past meadows through the Bernau high valley and views from Scheibenfelsen and Herzogenhorn make up the charm of stage 3.

From Häusern via St. Blasien to Bernau, the trail leads gently downhill on wide forest paths. Shortly before St. Blasien, you pass the Winderberg waterfall, where the Albsteig and Schluchtensteig trails celebrate a small reunion. The trail then follows the Alb again, with numerous benches inviting you to take a break. At the Glashofsäge you follow the western arm of the Alb through a quiet forest to Bernau-Weierle. From there, the route is pleasantly flat along the Alb. In some places, access points to the stream invite you to refresh yourself in the cool water. From Bernau-Dorf, the trail climbs steadily, passing beautiful viewpoints on the Scheibenfelsen and finally reaching the highest point of the entire tour, the Herzogenhorn. You should definitely plan another rest here and enjoy the 360-degree view of the various blue Black Forest mountain peaks and Alps before reaching the stage finish at the Feldberg Pass.
