From here, you can enjoy a wonderful view over the Steinhuder Meer and the moor landscape.After about a kilometer, you will reach Mardorf with the moor huts. Along the Mardorf lakeside path, at larger intervals, four wooden jetties branch off from the route, leading towards the water - ideal for a break with a panoramic view and information about the history of the large inland waters, the island of Wilhelmstein, the nature reserves, and the flora and fauna. The path continues to the center of Mardorf. There, at Aloys-Bunge-Platz, in a beautiful half-timbered house, you will find the Haus des Gastes with the tourist information.Mardorf is left via Mardorfer Straße towards Schneeren. Take some time to explore Schneeren as well. The village has a charming, historically grown town center characterized by half-timbered buildings. The uniformly covered roofs with red clay hollow tiles and old, large-crowned trees create a homogeneous village image. Schneeren is left via the street Hinter der Kirche-Hühnerbusch.
