Nature Heritage Trail

The Nature Heritage Trail starts and ends at the Durbeke Forest House. From Altenbeken train station, a bus will take you directly to the starting point of your hike (stop at Forsthaus Durbeke). Of course, there is also a hiking parking lot nearby.
At the Durbeke Forest House, first cross the bridge and then follow the path along the forest edge for about a kilometer. Then turn right and head steeply uphill into the forest around the Kleiner Kobbennacken, and after about 3.5 kilometers, you will reach the highest point of your hike at 368 meters. Around two-thirds of the tree population here is older than 120 years. From the Burenlinde, the path will lead you around the Vorderer Kobbennacken back to the starting point.
