From the bike station to Pear Alley

At the bicycle parking garage at the train station in Bünde, this very diverse nature tour begins. It first leads through the city center with St. Laurentius Church and the tobacco monument. Past the Bünder Museum Island, it goes to the river Else with its dam and bridges. The grassland of the Elseniederung, the old and new river course, and the mills on the river point to the history of land and water use. The fields at Ohrhagen are home to endangered farmland birds. At Gut Böckel, not only the historic building ensemble, but also the Voßholz, Rainer Maria Rilke, and Herta Koenig are worth a stop. After a look into the old Ennigloh brickyard, which transformed from a landfill into a nature reserve, it goes back to the city via an old pear alley.
