A good alternative if you don't want to walk the entire stretch of the Prälatenweg right away. Ease yourself into it. Clarholz is beautiful and this path takes you right through and around large parts of it.
The former Premonstratensian monastery in Clarholz is a great place to start and finish the round trip. You can park at the nearby marketplace. Dining options, including outdoor dining in nice weather, are available right at the church square.
