Höxter | Two cities, one river

On the circular tour from Höxter to Holzminden, you can enjoy the beautiful landscape of the Weser Uplands. Your first stop should be at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Corvey, visiting the former imperial abbey is always worthwhile. Let the entire complex and its unique architecture work its magic on you. Then continue on the Weser Cycle Path below the Tonenburg towards Holzminden. The Tonenburg with its impressive defensive tower was a fortification of the imperial abbey of Corvey and now houses a hotel and restaurant.

In Stahle, you change sides of the Weser and arrive directly in Holzminden. Take a break on the market square of Holzminden lined with plane trees.
On the way back, cycle through Lüchtringen. Behind the small Weser village, you have another beautiful view of Corvey just before reaching your destination.
