EifelSchleife Milky Way

Where does our milk come from? This question can be explored by young and old hikers on the 6.8 km circular hiking trail starting from Kloster Steinfeld in Kall. Under the motto "Milk creates cu(ltural) landscape," eight information boards along the way provide insights into the health benefits of milk and dairy products, how a dairy cow produces milk from grass, and how agriculture is committed to environmental and species conservation.

Traveling with children? Watch colorful cows peacefully chewing cud, or let your gaze wander over the vast fields. The German-Belgian nature park Hohes Venn – Eifel offers impressive views of the Eifel region, diverse nature, and rare animal and plant species.
With an all-terrain stroller, children can also hike the EifelSchleife. Starting from Kloster Steinfeld, it is recommended to begin in the opposite direction – making the path easier to navigate with a stroller.
The starting and ending point of the hike is the medieval Kloster Steinfeld. It is one of the best-preserved architectural monuments in the Rhineland and has been home to the Salvatorian Order community for almost 100 years. As a center for art and culture, education, and spirituality, Kloster Steinfeld is a significant attraction in the region.
