On the trail of Max Nacke

Start at Altenberger Bahnhof towards Rehefelder Straße. Shortly after, turn right onto Schellerhauer Weg. Follow this straight ahead, past the campsite onto Viehtriftweg. Now switch left onto Galgenteichdamm. Continue past the football field and right around the Raupennest Health Center. Cross Rehefelder Straße and follow Sandbachweg. At the next intersection, turn sharply left onto Flemmingweg. After about 200m, continue to the right, straight to the Waldschänke "Altes Raupennest". The traditional inn was built in 1924 by Max Nacke and was in family hands for years. Now operated by the Sender family, Hutzen evenings with Erzgebirge music are held every year. Then descend down Raupennestweg back into the city. Follow Rathausstraße, continue onto Dippoldiswalder Straße back to the starting point.
