Owl Tour

Also here, a start in Steimbke is recommended. Along an impressive moor landscape to the left of the path, you will drive into the municipality of Rodewald, whose coat of arms features the owl as the namesake of this tour.

In Rodewald, a detour to the local history museum (Sundays 3:00-5:00 pm) and the natural adventure pool (May-Sept.) is recommended. Afterwards, you will return to your starting point via Wendenborstel.

Cycling in the joint municipality of Steimbke
The joint municipality of Steimbke with its member municipalities Linsburg, Rodewald, Steimbke, and Stöckse is located amidst a charming heath, moor, and forest landscape, making it an excellent area for cycling.

Our three signposted circular routes (Eulen-Tour, Pure Nature, Of Giants and Stones) lead through agriculturally influenced villages. The area is very diverse, with on one side the heath and moor landscape between Steimbke and Rodewald, and on the other side the state forest "Krähe" around Stöckse.

Local gastronomy invites you to take a break along the way. Enjoy the peace and nature on our cycling tours and forget about the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
