The Great Circular Hiking Trail in Aerzen is a challenging hiking tour that covers a distance of 45 km, leading once around the Aerzen Basin. The trail mostly runs on field, forest, and meadow paths, but also on beautiful forest paths with easy terrain as well as paved farm roads. Enjoy the tranquility of nature along the way, which prevails in the small community of Aerzen. The tour takes you past several wooded ridges such as the Schierholzberg, the Pyrmonter Berg, and the Ahornberg. Along the way, you will be rewarded with magnificent views of the Weser Mountains, Ith, and the Ottenstein Plateau.
The trail can also be hiked in several stages from Aerzen via various access routes. Information boards at designated hiking parking lots provide information.
