The two major Christian denominations meet in the Dümmerland. While the people in the district of Diepholz are predominantly Lutheran, on the west side of Lake Dümmer, the residents are for the most part members of the Catholic Church. The historic churches on this tour are the focal points of their towns. The tour leads through the flat Dümmerland from place to place, from church to church. It is also worth taking a look at the beautiful and lovingly maintained gardens of the locals and at the other attractions of the communities around Lake Dümmer. There are dining options everywhere; for shopping, the district town of Diepholz is particularly recommended.
