County run - experience the course of history

The Grafschaftslauf connects as a run through the eventful regional history is the three cities of the former county area Rietberg: Rietberg, Verl and Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock. The former castle grounds at Gut Rietberg is the official starting point, but can only be entered for the actual run. Throughout the year, the path along the Ems lowlands can be accessed, which cannot accommodate many runners at the same time for nature conservation reasons. Along the Steinhorster Becken, the path leads to St. Anna's Church in Verl-Kaunitz and then through Liemke towards the diverse former noble hunting forest, the Holter Wald, in the middle of which you reach the bright yellow hunting lodge Holte in Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock.
