The landscape around Korschenbroich presents itself in the warm months in an almost intoxicating green. In addition, the splashing of the many bodies of water along the route can often be heard. In the north flows the historic Nordkanal, in the west the Niers forms the border to the city of Mönchengladbach, and in the east the Jüchener Bach flanks the city area. The two lake areas, the Herrenshoff excavation and the Pferdsbruch nature reserve, are the result of excavations that have developed into valuable biotopes with a variety of species.
The bike tour is comfortable and safe to handle on largely asphalted routes. And for those who need a little break in between, there are numerous organic farms and catering establishments along the way.
